Light Lens Lab has released an updated 50mm F/2 “Rigid-SPII” lens, featuring the optical block of the famous 1940s Speed Panchro II 50mm F/2 lens in a new brass housing. The manufacturer promises optical characteristics close to the original vintage optics due to an optical design of 7 elements in 5 groups with multi-layer coating. The diaphragm design has 8 blades.
The minimum focusing distance of the updated lens is 0.7 m, E39 filter thread, A42 lens hood mount. The company has opened pre-orders on the official website at a recommended retail price of $849 (from January 1, the price will be $1,049. Deliveries will begin in late January/early February.

Earlier it was reported that Leica and Panasonic will present new cameras within a few months. Both companies have already registered these devices. The Panasonic camera will be able to record 8K video.
It is separately noted that part of the information from the card of the registered Leica camera coincides with that which was registered by Panasonic on September 28. According to rumors, both cameras are equipped with a 60 MP sensor, similar to the Leica M11/Leica Q3.
