Mitakon Speedmaster 20mm, 35mm, 50mm S35 T1 set of cine lenses announced

The Chinese company ZY Optics has introduced a new set of fast cinema lenses for cameras with S35 sensors – Mitakon Speedmaster 20mm, 35mm, 50mm T1.0. For the first time, the company makes it possible to purchase all three lenses at once, rather than individually.

Key features of the new Mitakon Speedmaster cinema optics:

  • Aperture T1
  • Compact and lightweight design
  • Stepless silent iris control
  • Smooth, long and accurate focus
  • Low “focus breathing” effect
  • Exceptional manual control
  • 9 blade diaphragm
  • Special protective case complete with optics
  • Warranty: 5 years

The optical scheme of the 35mm and 50mm lenses consists of 11 elements in 8 groups, while the 20mm lens consists of 13 elements in 8 groups.

The focus ring travels 270 degrees. All three lenses have unified focus and aperture mechanisms, which is handy if you’re using tracking focus or a focus motor.

The new Mitakon Speedmaster lenses are available in Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon RF and Fuji X mounts. Professional PL mount option is not supported.

The Mitakon Speedmaster 20mm/35mm/50mm S35 T1 Cine set of cinema lenses is priced at $1,299. The lenses are also available individually for $499.

The TTartisan 100mm F/2.8 2X lens with “bubble bokeh” was previously announced . Surprisingly, the lens is produced for the M42 mount, but it is possible to install optics on more familiar modern mounts using a special adapter.

The viewing angle is 24 degrees, the minimum aperture is F / 22. The minimum focusing distance of the lens is 0.9 meters. There is a 13-bladed diaphragm. The new lens supports only manual focusing, and the lens weighs 307 grams. The filter diameter is 49mm.
