Three years ago, Venus Optics announced the Laowa 100mm F2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO version , and a year later presented it to the public. This is arguably one of the best third-party macro lenses ever, and it received an annual TIPA nomination last year.
The lens is produced for almost all mounts (Canon EF and R, Nikon F and Z, Sony FE and even for Pentax K). It is in great demand due to its very decent characteristics and, importantly, the price – the lens is sold for $ 450.
Now Venus Optics has decided to release a version Laowa 100mm F2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO under the bayonet of L , for the new full-frame mirrorless cameras Panasonic, Sigma and Leica. The new lens is already available for ordering on the manufacturer’s website , but the specifications of the L-version have not yet been published – note that the dimensions, weight and design of the diaphragm are somewhat different for different mounts.
