Fujifilm cameras we’re looking forward to in 2023

Fujifilm cameras we are looking forward to in 2023

Fujifilm always releases cameras with cutting-edge performance, which is achieved through the company’s heavy investment in R&D. We have compiled a list  of Fujifilm cameras that are expected to be released in the coming year.

1 Fujifilm X-Pro 4

The new Fujifilm X-Pro 4 camera is expected to appear with a 40-megapixel sensor and built-in 7-stop IBIS stabilization. Video recording up to 4K/60fps.

Specifications that are expected from the X-Pro 4

  • 40 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR BSI sensor
  • Processor X-Processor 5
  • 4K 60p 4:2:2 10-bit video
  • 7-stage IBIS stabilization
  • 425-point hybrid autofocus system
  • 3.69 million dot OLED electronic viewfinder
  • Bluetooth and WiFi
  • ProRes and Blackmagic RAW via HDMI

Camera announcement expected in Q1 2023

2. Fujifilm X-S20

Fujifilm X-S20 is the next camera model of X-S10 released in 2020. No major upgrade to the predecessor’s camera is expected. But it can be assumed that the introduction of the Fujifilm X-Processor 5 processor will improve the tracking performance of the camera’s AI AF in a similar way to Canon and Sony.

Expected specifications X-S20

  • 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 sensor
  • Processor X-Processor 5
  • 5-axis IBIS stabilization
  • DCI/UHD 4K/60fps, Full HD @ 240fps
  • 425-point hybrid autofocus system
  • 2.36 million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder with 0.62x magnification
  • 3.0″ 1.04M-dot swivel touch screen
  • Bluetooth and WiFi

The presentation should take place in 2023.

3. Fujifilm X-E5

The Fuji X-E4 update is a bit late, but since the price of the camera is very competitive, only some limited updates inside the camera can be expected.

4 Fujifilm X-S100 VI

The Fujifilm X100 series is one of my favorite series. A 40 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR BSI sensor and X5 processor are expected.

Features to be expected in the X-100 VI

  • 40 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR BSI sensor
  • Processor X-Processor 5
  • Fujinon 23mm F2 lens or new
  • 0.52x OVF hybrid viewfinder with 3.69M-dot OLED EVF
  • 3.0″ 1.62 M dot touch screen
  • DCI/UHD 4K video recording at 60 fps
  • 425-point hybrid AF system | Improved autofocus tracking
  • Bluetooth and WiFi
  • Film Simulation Modes

5 Fujifilm X-T300

As you know, Fujifilm ignores the entry-level line. But they will certainly continue the X-Txx series to cover the demand from newcomers. In addition, new budget X-Mount lenses from brands such as Viltrox and Tamron will make the system more attractive.

Possible characteristics of the Fujifilm X-T300

  • 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 sensor
  • X-Processor 5 (improved)
  • Video DCI and UHD 4K/60fps; F log
  • 2.36 million dot OLED electronic viewfinder
  • 3.0″ 1.62 M dot swivel LCD touch screen
  • 425-point phase detection autofocus
  • Mechanical and electronic shutter
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi;
  • Ultrasonic sensor cleaning

Fujifilm’s entry-level line has all but disappeared. Even the X-T200 is currently only sold in the Asian region.
