Canon has updated the firmware of EOS R5, R6, R3

Canon has introduced firmware updates for three of its full-frame mirrorless cameras at once: Canon EOS R5 and EOS R6 up to version 1.6.0 and EOS R3 up to 1.2.0.

Firmware version 1.6.0 for the  Canon EOS R5 includes the following:

  1. Adds [Temp. ed. Off: Standard/Fine] in the menu for movie recording. If [High] is selected, the camera will not turn off automatically when the temperature of the body and memory card rises, which may result in longer movie recording than before depending on shooting conditions. Please note that the chamber temperature may rise during this time.
  2. Adds the ability to convert multiple HEIF images to JPEG.
  3. Improves the performance of Digital Video Stabilization. It stabilizes the image when taking selfies or handheld shots when shooting with a wide-angle lens.
  4. Fixes minor bugs.
