Unihertz unveils Jelly Star – a tiny smartphone in the style of Nothing Phone (1)

Unihertz Jelly Star smartphone for the smallest hands in the style of Nothing Phone (1)

The Chinese company Unihertz is not well known not only in our latitudes, but even in China itself. They make smartphones and releases them in not very large batches.

Jelly Star is a novelty that will delight lovers of small devices. The smartphone is quite compact: 95.13 × 49.52 × 19.37 mm and weighs 121 grams. For comparison: the smallest iPhone 12 mini on sale right now is much larger (though much thinner): 131.5 × 64.2 × 7.4 mm at 135 grams. Rear transparent panel in the style of Nothing Phone (1) is available. Yes, and in two colors.

Despite the size, there are quite good specs here: MediaTek Helio G99, 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM, built-in UFS 2.2 256 GB. This is enough for the eyes for a smartphone with a 3-inch IPS screen. Its resolution, by the way, is 854 × 480 pixels, and the brightness is 600 nits at the peak.

The main question is how long the 2000 mAh battery will last. At the same time, charging is more powerful than many iPhone ones: 7.5 W!

So far, the price of the Unihertz Jelly Star has not been announced. We only know that it will soon appear on Kickstarter, where it will be offered at a 37% discount from the regular retail price.
