HTC is preparing to introduce a flagship smartphone – HTC U23 Pro. Partially, the characteristics of the device have already been disclosed. Currently, the manufacturing company has released a poster, which indicates the date of the announcement of new items – May 18.

It also follows from the poster that the HTC U23 Pro device will be associated with the Viverse metaverse. HTC has previously released a virtual reality helmet for interaction in the Viverse universe.

How exactly the smartphone will be able to provide work with the metaverse is not yet disclosed. However, it is known that the device will receive an advanced main camera system. The published image shows four main modules, as well as a diode flash.

It has already been confirmed that the smartphone will receive a mid-range Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC processor. It scores about 550 thousand points in the AnTuTu rating, but HTC has not previously released smartphones with similar performance.

Due to this chip, HTC U23 Pro will be able to provide sufficiently high-quality hardware processing of images and videos. Together with a system of advanced cameras, one of which will have a resolution of 108 megapixels (see the title image of the news), this can provide high quality photography and video recording.

The HTC U23 Pro will reportedly feature a flagship 120Hz AMOLED display and up to 256GB of flash storage.

Previously, the flagship camera phone from Sony was announced – Sony Xperia 1 V  with a multilayer matrix. This sensor delivers rich colors and textures, even when shooting in low light conditions. Low-light performance, says Sony, is about “twice as good as the previous model.” And the sensor’s dynamic range, again according to Sony, is “equivalent to a full-frame camera.”

The main camera, which is equipped with a new Transistor Pixel dual-layer CMOS sensor, is equipped with optics with an equivalent focal length of 24mm. The sensor itself is about 1.7 times larger than the matrix of the previous generation smartphone – Xperia 1 IV. This sensor has a resolution of 48 megapixels, an optical format of 1/1.35 inches with 1.12 micron pixels. The aspect ratio of the sensor is 4.4:3, and the lens has an aperture of F/1.9.
