Red Magic 9 Pro: perhaps the world’s only smartphone without a protruding camera

Nowadays it’s almost impossible to find a smartphone that doesn’t have a huge protruding camera.

RED MAGIC 9 PRO

The Red Magic brand, owned by ZTE, announced the launch of a new generation gaming smartphone, Red Magic 9 Pro. Its peculiarity lies in the design of the rear panel, namely the camera block. The fact is that for the first time in many years, a flagship smartphone with a flat camera will appear on the market. A non-protruding camera block consisting of four modules is the main feature of the Red Magic 9 Pro.

RED MAGIC 9 PRO IS PERHAPS THE WORLD’S ONLY MODERN FLAT SMARTPHONE WITHOUT A PROTRUDING CAMERA

After such news appeared, many doubted that the manufacturer could really release a completely flat smartphone with a modern camera, so, as always, they chalked it up to a marketing ploy. However, the company has officially confirmed that the device is 8.9mm thick everywhere, including the camera area. Moreover, the most interesting thing is that the previous smartphone model, Red Magic 8S Pro, had exactly the same thickness, that is, the manufacturer actually did not have to resort to tricks by increasing the dimensions of the device.

A company official said that the back of the device uses exclusive custom glass. Thanks to this, it has no holes on both the front and back sides, but at the same time ensures maximum light transmission and polarization effect. In addition, such glass can serve as a lens. Red Magic 9 Pro can be called the most extraordinary smartphone to date. By the way, the shape and the concept itself are similar to the one that Xiaomi promoted with its MIX.

Nowadays it’s almost impossible to find a smartphone that doesn’t have a huge protruding camera. ZTE launches a new trend

As for performance, the upcoming new product will receive the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. And, since this is still a gaming smartphone, it will be equipped with active cooling. Judging by the images, the device is also equipped with physical and touch buttons on the side.

By the way, one of the last (if not the last) smartphones with a flat back panel was the iPhone SE, released in 2016.
