POCO X6 Neo: Xiaomi launches its first Neo smartphone

XIAOMI POCO X6 NEO

Xiaomi has expanded the current X-series of its sub-brand POCO with its first model with the “Neo” prefix – it was the POCO X6 Neo. Its appearance may seem familiar to some – in fact, the new product has become a rebranding of the Redmi Note 13R Pro, presented in November exclusively for China. The characteristics of the Neo are also identical, which makes it the cheapest model in the X6 series.

The company continues its strategy of releasing the same smartphones under different names in different markets

POCO X6 Neo specifications:

  • Display: 6.67 inches, AMOLED, 2400×1080 pixels, 120 Hz, up to 1,000 nits.
  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 6080.
  • RAM: 8/12 GB LPDDR4x type.
  • User memory: 128/256 GB UFS 2.2 type.
  • Main camera: 108 MP + 2 MP (depth sensor).
  • Front camera: 16 MP.
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh, 33 W.
  • Pre-installed operating system: Android 13, MIUI 14.
  • Dust and water protection: IP54.
  • 3.5 mm audio jack: yes.

POCO promises two Android updates and four years of security patches, but it’s worth considering that the smartphone did not debut with the latest HyperOS based on Android 14. In India, the new product will cost $240 for 8/128 GB and $265 for 12/256 GB.
