OnePlus now has a solution that allows you to use the touch screen in the rain

The upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone will receive a software improvement related to touch input.

Despite the fact that many smartphones are water resistant, they are still impossible to use in the rain. The problem is that water interferes with touch input, creating false touches, or the screen simply becomes immune to them. This problem has been taken care of by OnePlus, which already has its own solution.

A video has surfaced on OnePlus’ official Weibo page, revealing that the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will feature Rain Water Touch. This will allow you to easily use the touch screen of your smartphone in the rain. The video shows the comparison of the Ace 2 Pro with the iPhone 14 Pro in use under running water. While it’s hard to say exactly how this feature works, it looks like the Ace 2 Pro will have some sort of software enhancement to handle these conditions.

Rain Water Touch can solve one of the most annoying touch screen problems today. The function will not only make touch input more accurate, but also allow you to normally use your smartphone with wet hands. As for the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, its presentation should take place next week in China, and the Rain Water Touch feature may also appear in future OnePlus flagship devices.
