OnePlus 12 smartphone specs revealed

OnePlus is preparing to introduce a new smartphone – OnePlus 12, which will receive flagship camera, display and processor specifications. One of the insiders revealed details about the expected new product.

The new smartphone received a 6.7-inch OLED screen. It will have QHD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. At the same time, the device will also be equipped with a flagship processor, the announcement of which is expected in October – SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The phone will receive one Arm Cortex-X4 super-core and five high-performance Arm Cortex-A720 cores, as well as two energy-efficient Arm Cortex-A520 cores. This means that the chip should show a significant performance boost compared to the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (it only has four high-performance cores).

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will also include the Adreno 750 GPU, which should be much more powerful than the Adreno 740.

OnePlus 12 will receive an improved camera compared to the previous generation: two 50 megapixel sensors (Sony IMX890 models of 1 / 1.56 inch optical format) and one 64 megapixel sensor as part of the periscope module. There has never been such a technical solution in OnePlus smartphones.

In addition, the company is likely to continue its collaboration with Hasselblad to develop quality cameras for flagship devices.

Thus, we can conclude that OnePlus 12 will receive advanced optical zoom capabilities. A number of sources report that similar improvements will be in smartphones from other manufacturers. The exact camera specs of the OnePlus 12 have yet to be revealed.

The battery capacity of the flagship camera phone will be 5000 mAh, and the wired charging power will be 100 watts. The official premiere of OnePlus 12, according to the informant, will take place in December 2023. A little earlier (in November), the announcement of Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected.

Most likely, the new smartphone will receive an AMOLED C7 panel as a display. The description states that the width of the frames on all four sides is 0.9 mm.

The screen will have a resolution of 2K and a dynamic refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz. The refresh when using the touchpad will be 240Hz and PWM 1920Hz. The front camera will be located in the middle of the display.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra version will reportedly get the 1-inch sensor found in the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
