iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will rise in price by $ 100-200

iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will rise in price by $ 100-200

As I said at the beginning of the week, Apple has not had a direct price increase in the US for a very long time. More precisely, I can’t remember a single example when the iPhone successor cost more in the States for unknown reasons than its predecessor.

But with the iPhone 15 Pro lineup, that could change. According to Tim Long, an analyst at the British bank Barclays , Apple will increase prices in the US for the Pro line. Moreover, the increase in value will not be uniform.

According to the analyst, which came from the supply chain, the base iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will cost the same as their predecessors. But the starting price for the iPhone 15 Pro in the US will be $1099 before state taxes, and for the 15 Pro Max / 15 Ultra – $1299. That is, the small version will be more expensive by $100, and the large version by $200.

And that’s just in the US. In other countries, the cost increase will be even greater.

This increase in price will be the first since the introduction of the iPhone X for the 5.8 / 6.1-inch model and XS Max for the 6.7-inch version. It is likely that Apple will remove the 128 GB versions from the base, starting with 256 GB, which will make the price increase not so obvious, but still a shame.

15 Pro Max will be more expensive due to the periscope that will replace the telephoto. It will allow you to make a 5-6x optical zoom relative to the main camera module.

Both models will get titanium edges (now they are stainless steel), a USB-C 4 port, Wi-Fi 6E, an action button and faster hardware.

The release of new iPhones is expected in the fall. According to rumors , new models will be released only in October.
