HUAWEI MATE X5 PRESENTED: A FOLDABLE SMARTPHONE WITH ITS OWN PROCESSOR AND SMART ANTENNA

Today, September 8, Huawei, in addition to the Mate 60 Pro+ smartphone , introduced a new foldable model – Mate X5. As the successor to the Mate X3 smartphone, the new product has received a number of internal changes, while the design of the gadget has remained virtually unchanged.

The Huawei Mate X5 is now up for pre-order. Official sales start on September 15

Huawei Mate X5 has a main 7.85-inch LPTO OLED display with a resolution of 2224 × 2496 pixels. The internal screen is also LPTO OLED, but with a smaller diagonal – 6.4 inches. It is capable of displaying images at a resolution of 1080 × 2504 pixels and is protected by Kunlun Glass.

The new product runs on the HarmonyOS 4.0 operating system.

A distinctive feature of the gadget is an antenna with artificial intelligence algorithms. It automatically selects a network to ensure optimal signal and connection levels. There is protection against moisture according to the IPX8 standard. Like the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+, the foldable smartphone supports satellite communications. There is no information about the cost yet.
