HONOR has unveiled the 300 series smartphones featuring “legacy” processors

HONOR 300

On December 2, the HONOR 300, HONOR 300 Pro, and HONOR 300 Ultra smartphones were officially unveiled. The developers have highlighted that these devices are designed with a focus on portrait photography, featuring a 50 MP front camera across all three models.

The standard HONOR 300 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, available with options of 8, 12, or 16 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of internal storage. In contrast, the Pro and Ultra models utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It is noteworthy that the latest AnTuTu benchmark rankings do not list any devices with this chipset, although it is certainly a capable platform. Both the Pro and Ultra models offer RAM configurations of 12 or 16 GB, with internal storage options of 256 or 512 GB, depending on the specific model chosen.

The device features a 6.78-inch OLED display, boasting a resolution of 2700 × 1224 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and an impressive maximum brightness of 4000 nits. This display is standard across all models in the new series.

On the rear of the HONOR 300 Pro and HONOR 300 Ultra, there are dual 50-megapixel cameras, including a primary camera and a telephoto lens with 3x zoom, utilizing the same Sony IMX856 sensor found in the HONOR 200 Pro. Additionally, these models are equipped with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens featuring autofocus. In contrast, the HONOR 300 is limited to two cameras: a 50 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

All smartphones are equipped with a 5300 mAh battery. The standard model offers 100 W wired charging, while the other variants additionally support 80 W wireless charging. These new devices operate on the proprietary MagicOS 9.0 interface, which is built on Android 15 and features a wide array of AI capabilities.

The HONOR 300 is available starting at €326 and offers a selection of colors including blue, black, ash, and white. It can be configured in four different options: 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, 12/512 GB, and 16/512 GB.

The HONOR 300 Pro is offered in black, blue, or sand and comes in three configurations: 12/256 GB, 12/512 GB, and 16/512 GB, with a starting price of €520. Details regarding the pricing and configurations for the Ultra version have yet to be announced.
