Technics SU-GX70: Integrated amplifier with DAC and network streamer

Technics has introduced a new integrated amplifier Technics SU-GX70 , equipped with an advanced DAC unit and a network streamer. It is the first Technics component to feature an HDMI ARC port  since the brand’s revival in 2014.

The Technics SU-GX70 Networked Integrated Amplifier is based on Technics patented full digital amplification technology for noise-free and distortion-free music reproduction. The claimed high signal-to-noise ratio of the Technics SU-GX70 amplifier is partly due to the new dual power supply. In addition, the Clean Power Clock Generator technology, borrowed from Technics’ top-end components, promises high-precision digital signal processing and “high fidelity audio”.

Chromecast platform support provides access to Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer, Qobuz and Amazon Music HD. In addition, the Technics SU-GX70 supports Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth. There are also tuners here – analog FM and digital DAB +.

The switching arsenal of the Technics SU-GX70 amplifier includes two analog linear unbalanced inputs on RCA connectors, a built-in phono stage input for working with MM heads, coaxial and two optical inputs, USB-A and USB-B ports. In addition, the device is equipped with an HDMI ARC input. There is also an analog output from the pre-amplifier. On the front panel there is a 6.3 mm jack for connecting headphones.

The Technics SU-GX70 Network Integrated Amplifier will be available from June 2023. In the UK, the suggested retail price is £1,699.99 .
