The Box Design series of the Austrian company Pro-Ject has similar linear power supplies for powering integrated amplifiers and power amplifiers. And now Pro-Ject has introduced such a device to cleanly power your vinyl setup – turntable and phono stage.
First of all, the Pro-Ject Power Box S3 Phono is designed to work with components from Pro-Ject – for example, the Phono Box DS3 B and Phono Box S3 B phono stages . Unlike the Pro-Ject Power Box DS3 Sources mentioned above, in which the high voltage part is mounted inside the case, the Power Box Phono S3 has an external 18 V 1000 mA power supply. At the output, the novelty provides two power lines – for a phono stage with a voltage of 18 V DC and for a turntable with a voltage of 15 V DC.
Traditionally for the Pro-Ject Box Design series, the Power Box Phono S3 external power supply is clad in a compact (103 x 37 x 106 mm) aluminum case, which is available in silver or black. The weight of the novelty is 370 g.
