Naim launches Solstice Special Edition turntable

The British company Naim has unveiled a limited edition Solstice Special Edition turntable in only 500 copies. The turntable has the aesthetics of all Naim Audio products , combining modern design with usability and practicality.

The device operates at speeds of 33 and 45 rpm and is based on a table of 47 layers of wood covered with metal sheathing to ensure the lowest possible resonance.

The new Aro Special Edition tonearm matches perfectly with the Naim Equinox MC cartridge , but the developers claim it can work with other brands thanks to its two-stage slotted retainers. Unlike the previous generation tonearm, the Aro Special Edition is equipped with a microlift.

With a stated frequency response of 20 Hz – 40 kHz, 11 ohm impedance and 0.4 mV output, the Naim Equinox cartridge requires 2.2 – 2.4 g of tracking force and is rated for a 100 ohm phono input impedance.

The turntable is supplied with an external Naim Solstice phono stage and external power supply, both manufactured by Naim . The turntable, tonearm and cartridge are manufactured by the German company Clearaudio for Naim .

In addition, the purchaser of the turntable will receive an exclusive hardback commemorative book and a unique album from Naim Records , a carefully curated collection of premium quality True Stereo recordings specially remastered for this edition.

In Europe, the Naim Solstice Special Edition turntable is offered for 17,000 euros .
