Australian brand Encel has unveiled the new Brains integrated amplifier , expanding its range of affordable Hi-Fi products. The Brains integrated amplifier follows Gelati’s Applause Award-winning bookshelf speakers introduced last year and is offered in a variety of “flavours” (five finishes with 12 grille colors) to suit any interior.
Equipped with an impressive range of inputs, clad in a stylish, minimalist steel cabinet, complemented by a sandblasted aluminum front panel, the Encel Brains amplifier is available in black or white. The amplifier is equipped with a built-in phono stage for working with moving magnet (MM) cartridges, optical and coaxial inputs for connecting digital sources such as a CD player or TV, as well as a Bluetooth-enabled aptX HD receiver for wirelessly streaming music from mobile gadgets.
There are also three linear analog inputs, as well as a 3.5 mm headphone output on the front panel of the amplifier.
The output stages of the Encel Brains integrated amplifier operate in class A/B and develop up to 40 watts in each of the channels. There is also a tone block that allows you to customize the sound to your liking. Analog volume control eliminates digital artifacts. Selecting the active input and volume level can be done using the included remote control.
As is traditional for Encel products, the company works with contemporary Australian artists to design packaging. Sydney-based artist Campbell Walker designed the packaging for the Brains amplifier exclusively for Encel.
The Encel Brains Integrated Amplifier is already on sale in its home country of Australia and New Zealand. The recommended retail price of new items is respectively 799 Australian dollars and 899 New Zealand dollars .
