CEntrance DACport Pro: Compact DAC with AKM chips

The American company CEntrance has introduced the DACport Pro USB DAC with a built-in headphone amplifier , which replaced the popular DACport HD model . Unlike its predecessor, there is only one input – a USB type C port . DACport Pro fitted with chips Velvet Sound of AKM and is able to decode digital streams PCM with a resolution up to 32 bits / 384 kHz and DSD .

Despite its compact size, the DAC is equipped with a full-fledged analog balanced output on a pair of XLR connectors , which can operate in two modes – linear and variable. In the second version, the novelty can be directly connected to a power amplifier or active speaker systems. The signal strength is displayed on large LED indicators, the brightness of which can be adjusted.

A 3.5 mm mini-jack is provided for connecting headphones. The headphone amplifier is designed with AmpExtreme technology with separate bipolar power supply. There is a Gain switch for adjusting the gain level depending on the headphone impedance, which can range from 16 to 600 ohms. The CEntrance DACport Pro is powered from the USB-C port .

The CEntrance DACport Pro USB DAC headphone amplifier is housed in a black aluminum case. The DAC can already be purchased in the US for $ 370
