B.audio launches Alpha One network integrated amplifier

B.audio Alpha One

The French company B.audio introduced the B.audio Alpha One network integrated amplifier , which absorbed the experience gained in the development of Reference series electronics and combines a network streamer, an advanced DAC and a high-quality amplifier built in a dual mono concept. The patented EX network platform provides the new product with a sound calibration system for room acoustics and advanced streaming capabilities.

In addition, Alpha One uses B.audio’s patented SJR (Source Jitter Removal) technology, which effectively combats jitter, optimizing the digital-to-analog conversion process. The fully balanced preamp section features a switchable resistive volume control. Like all B.audio products, the Alpha One integrated amplifier has no coupling capacitors in the signal path and uses multi-terminal servo circuits operating outside the signal path to provide a constant reference voltage.

The Alpha One’s output amplifier circuitry is derived from B.audio’s power amplifiers and uses a complex topology with local feedback at critical locations, thereby, B.audio claims, significantly reducing dynamic distortion. As a result, Alpha One takes advantage of the Class AB output stage while providing “perfect linearity of operation.” The amplifier is implemented in a “dual mono” concept and provides power of 200 W when operating into a load with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms and 120 W at 8 ohms, combined with the ability to produce a high output current.

The B.audio Alpha One Network Integrated Amplifier is now on sale in Europe with a recommended retail price of €15,990 for the base silver finish. For a black finish you will have to pay an additional 450 euros
