Aurender MC10: Transmits accurate time signals

Aurender MC10

Aurender has launched the Aurender MC10, an external precision clock generator. The company’s range already includes the MC20 watch model, and the MC10 will become a more affordable alternative.

The Aurender MC10 clock generator is based on a rubidium atomic clock that delivers an extremely accurate 10 MHz frequency. At the same time, the MC10 is almost half the price of the bigger model , the Aurender MC20. This was achieved by removing expensive OCXO dual thermostatted crystal oscillator timing modules and associated interface solutions.

These word clock outputs, controlled by the OCXO, are only effective in conjunction with a dCS DAC. That is, if you do not have such a DAC in your system, then it is quite possible to save money and choose a cheaper Aurender MC10. The MC10 is equipped with four 10 MHz outputs on gold-plated BNC connectors – two with a resistance of 75 ohms and a pair of 50 ohms.

Using the Aurender MC10 external clock with compatible Aurender products (equipped with a 10 MHz input), such as the Aurender N20, W20, W20SE, N30SA and AP20, can significantly improve the quality of the digital output signal by reducing jitter, which will have a positive effect on the sound stage and timbre fidelity of musical material reproduction.

The Aurender MC10 external clock generator will go on sale in July 2023. In Europe, the Aurender MC10 will be offered for 17,500 euros .
