AudioQuest has expanded its PowerQuest line of rack – mount power conditioners with the introduction of the new PowerQuest 303 , 505 and 707 models . All models have reliable surge protection and automatic shutdown at extreme voltages above 140 VAC (US market models).
The AudioQuest PQ -303 power conditioner is equipped with a differential asymmetric noise filter (30 kHz – 1 GHz). The PQ -505 adds a common mode filter (30 – 100 MHz) to eliminate symmetrical noise that is typically picked up by AC line, neutral and ground wires. The PQ -707 takes noise control even further with a higher bandwidth differential filter (8 kHz to 1 GHz).
The AudioQuest PQ-707 power conditioner also includes transient power correction (TPC). In the PQ-707, the TPC provides up to 45 A peak current on demand for any amplifier (up to 25 ms), providing the current the amplifier needs.
If more than 140 volts is present on the incoming AC line for more than a quarter of a second, the circuit will instantly open the high current relay, which will shut down all loads, activating the red “Over Voltage Protection” LED on the front of the air conditioner. As soon as the situation returns to normal, the output sockets will be energized automatically.
All North American air conditioner models have a total of 12 AC outlets: 4 high current outlets for variable current amplification components (power amplifiers, powered speakers, AV receivers, subwoofers, etc.) and 8 line filter outlets for low power components (TVs, streaming media devices, CD and vinyl players, preamps, etc.).
Finally, all air conditioner models come with optional 2RU racks and a detachable 2m PowerQuest power cable with flat plug.
In the US, new items are already on sale. The suggested retail price for the AudioQuest PQ -303 is $459.95 . The PQ -505 power conditioner will cost $699.95 and the top-of-the-line PQ -707 will cost $1,299.95
