Shanling SONO: Budget hybrid in-ear headphones

Shanling SONO

Shanling has started selling inexpensive SONO in-ear headphones with a hybrid design .

The model is equipped with two dynamic and one reinforcing emitter. Low frequencies are handled by a speaker with a 9.2 mm biomaterial-composite diaphragm, mid frequencies are entrusted to a 6.8 mm driver with a liquid crystal polymer diaphragm. Both dynamic emitters are organized in a coaxial configuration and have a common magnetic system of three powerful magnets of different diameters. The high-frequency range is reproduced by a reinforcing emitter made by special order of the company.

The speaker cabinets are made of zinc alloy and polished to a mirror finish. To customize the sound to your personal preference, two detachable acoustic filter nozzles are included for balanced sound and bass-focused delivery.

The complete cable with silver-plated conductors has a 0.78 mm connector and is equipped with a 3.5 mm minijack . The sensitivity of the model is 103 dB, the nominal impedance is 16 ohms , the frequency range is from 16 to 40,000 Hz . Each pair comes with four pairs of ear pads of different sizes and types.

The Shanling SONO Hybrid In-Ear Headphones can be ordered online starting at $76 .
