Sennheiser HD 450SE: The wireless HD 450BT version with Alexa voice assistant

The Sennheiser HD 450SE headphones are an upgrade from the HD 450BT wireless headphones released early last year. The difference between the models is in color and feature set.

While the HD 450BT can be found in black or white, the HD 450SE is black only. But the main thing: HD 450BT was supported only by Siri and Google Assistant, and the new product also works with the Amazon Alexa voice assistant, for which a special button is provided to activate.

Otherwise, both models are identical. This applies not only to the design, but also to active noise cancellation and Bluetooth 5.0 support with the aptX Low Latency codec with minimal latency. High-quality audio will be provided by the AAC and aptX codecs. The battery of the novelty will allow you to work for 30 hours.

Setting up the Sennheiser HD 450SE headphones is available in the Sennheiser Smart Control proprietary mobile application. Here you can adjust the equalizer, see the battery level, and even get helpful tips or enter podcast mode to improve your speech quality. The app can also update the firmware.

As expected for a model equipped with Amazon Alexa, the Sennheiser HD 450SE headphones are sold exclusively on Amazon. In the UK, they cost £ 180.
