Sennheiser CX True Wireless: Budget alternative to Momentum True Wireless 2

Sennheiser has released the CX True Wireless all-wireless headphones as a budget alternative to the Momentum True Wireless 2 . Judging by the comparative table on the product page, they differ from the older analogue of Sennheiser CX True Wireless only in the absence of active noise cancellation. But there is a passive one.

The operating time of the novelty, including the one provided by the charging case, became one hour less and amounted to 27 hours. But the sound in the CX True Wireless is answered by the same TrueResponse speaker developed in Germany, which can be found in more expensive Sennheiser models. The character of the sound is corrected by the built-in equalizer, supplemented by the Bass Boost mode.

The headphones use Bluetooth 5.2 with support for SBC, AAC and aptX codecs, and have customizable touch controls. They are similar in design to the older model, with the same IPX4 splash protection. For voice communication, the CX True Wireless has dual microphones, and in addition, the “role switching” function allows you to use each of them separately – for example, as headsets.

In the US, Sennheiser CX True Wireless headphones are already available for $ 130.
