Sennheiser Accentum Open: affordable wireless in-ears with open design

Sennheiser Accentum Open

Sennheiser has introduced the Accentum Open, a wireless in-ear headphone designed with an open structure that enables users to enjoy superior sound quality while remaining aware of their surroundings. This model merges Sennheiser’s unique sound tuning with a non-intrusive fit. The designers emphasize that it offers a premium listening experience alongside comfort and environmental awareness.

Central to the Accentum Open is an 11-millimeter dynamic driver located just outside the ear canal. The open design of the earplug is said to prevent ear fatigue, allowing users to stay conscious of their environment. Its universal design ensures a natural fit, removing the necessity for ear adapters or clips.

Thanks to Bluetooth 5.3 and multipoint connectivity, users can seamlessly switch between multiple devices, such as receiving a call on their laptop and instantly returning to a playlist on their smartphone. The dual beamforming microphones deliver reliable hands-free call quality and filter out background noise for extra speech intelligibility.

The combination of an open earbud and an ultra-light stem with touch controls makes the Accentum Open a true liberation to use. Each earpiece weighs less than a playing card and is easy to remove, for the rest of the evening or just for a short while. The Accentum Open offers up to 6.5 hours of playtime and with the capacity of the storage and charging case, a total of 28 hours is available. With the quick charge function, just 10 minutes of charging gives you up to 1.5 hours of listening time.

The Sennheiwer Accentum Open is available from today in cream and black with a recommended retail price of just under $90.
