KEF Mu3 – New fully wireless noise canceling headphones

KEF Launches new NC headphones with the name Mu3. The name of the model clearly hints at a relationship with Muon acoustics and Muo wireless speakers : these headphones were also created in collaboration with industrial designer Ross Lovegrove.

According to the company, the ergonomic shape of the earbuds will ensure long-term comfort, and thanks to the balanced design, the Mu3 will not fall out of your ears. This will be facilitated by the included four pairs of silicone ear pads of different sizes.

The ear cushions will help to achieve the necessary sound insulation, and the proprietary noise reduction system, according to KEF, will get rid of noise without losing detail and liveliness of the sound. Inside the rounded enclosures are 8.2mm drivers selected by KEF. Mu3 sources are connected via Bluetooth 5.0, and of the codecs they support only SBC and AAC.

The buttons on the outside of the headphones are used for control. Noise canceling and noise transmission modes are switched with one touch. On a single charge, the headphones will work up to nine hours, with a case – up to 24, and in five minutes of recharging the headphones can add an hour of work. Waterproof to IPX5 standard, they can be used in the rain and during training.

In the UK, the KEF Mu3 will cost 199 pounds.
