Immediately after the leak of images of the Fairphone Fairbuds XL headphones, published in WinFuture with the participation of the Android Police, quite legitimate announcements of this model appeared on the Web. The German company Fairphone began 10 years ago with the release of a more convenient, environmentally friendly and, most importantly, maintainable smartphone. The company seems to have succeeded in this direction and applied the same approach to the production of headphones.
Fairphone said its Fairbuds XL are “the greenest headphones on the market.” Moreover, the availability of any spare parts for them is promised. Whatever breaks, it can be replaced.
And, contrary to expectations, this did not prevent the novelty from being equipped with almost all relevant “headphone” technologies. Among them are multi-mode active noise cancellation and point-to-point Bluetooth.
Fairphone gives its Fairbuds XL a two-year warranty, and judging by the company’s reputation, software support for headphones will last much longer. The novelty will appear in two colors, black and green, and in both cases, complemented by dots all over the surface. Orange cables and a copper-coloured four-way joystick add further design accents.
The estimated price of Fairphone Fairbuds XL in the EU will be 250 euros.
