French company Devialet has released an updated version of its Gemini II completely wireless headphones . The second generation received an improved adaptive noise reduction system, capable of reducing the level of external noise by 40 dB in certain parts of the frequency range.

It uses three microphones and a bone conduction sensor. The headphone housings have decreased in size by 22% , and the shape of the charging case has also changed. With the noise reduction system turned on, Devialet Gemini II will work for 5 hours , while the total battery life, taking into account the charging case, is 22 hours . By today’s standards, this is not so much.

The headphones are protected from moisture and dust according to the IPX4 standard . The acoustic part is built on 10 mm dynamic drivers with a titanium diaphragm , the Bluetooth adapter supports the aptX codec. In addition to the standard version, a limited edition Devialet Gemini II Opéra de Paris, in which the metal elements of the cases are plated with 22-karat gold, has also gone on sale.

Devialet Gemini II fully wireless headphones are sold in Europe for 400 euros , the gold-plated Devialet Gemini II Opéra de Paris model will cost 600 euros .
