Huami Technology’s Amazfit brand, focused on electronics and wellness software, has unveiled the PowerBuds Pro. In addition to built-in active noise cancellation with an efficiency of up to 40 dB, PowerBuds Pro are equipped with sensors and listener monitoring functions. The system is a development of the capabilities of the previous model – PowerBuds.
In particular, the built-in accelerometer will detect too long immobility of the PowerBuds Pro listener and improper posture and issue a warning signal. On the other hand, PowerBuds Pro are able to detect when their owner started running – the functions of tracking the time, speed and distance that he managed to run are immediately turned on.
Accordingly, the owner of PowerBuds Pro has access to data on calories burned and much more. The earbuds also measure heart rate and are capable of transmitting heart rate data to fitness apps like RunKeeper and MapMyRun.
In terms of audio functions, the headphones received an independent acoustic module with a speaker equipped with an LCP liquid crystal diaphragm. There are 10 equalizer presets available. Noise cancellation and telephony in PowerBuds Pro uses three built-in microphones. The ANC mode, according to the manufacturer, is controlled by artificial intelligence and has several profiles that can be selected according to the situation. Adaptive mode is capable of self-tuning ANC.
Amazfit PowerBuds Pro comes with touch control and recognition of the position in the ear. PowerBuds Pro are promised up to nine hours of operation without ANC (with ANC – almost six hours), using the charging case will increase this time to 30 hours (without ANC). The earbuds are also protected from dust and moisture according to the IP55 standard.
PowerBuds Pro will be available for pre-order starting July 15th. The cost of the Amazfit PowerBuds Pro in Europe will be 130 euros.
