Adam H200: Professional full-size closed-type headphones launched
The German company Adam Audio has introduced new closed-type studio headphones Adam H200 , the development of which, according to the manufacturer, took several years. The new product is aimed primarily at professional users, but thanks to its outstanding characteristics, it will also be of interest to particularly demanding music lovers who are looking for a reliable tool for daily music enjoyment at an attractive price.
The new full-size Adam H200 headphones are equipped with dynamic emitters with a 40 mm diameter membrane made of PEEK – Polyether Ether Ketone, which provides maximum rigidity with very low weight, which ensures accurate reproduction in a very wide frequency range. For the Adam H200 headphones, the manufacturer specifies a frequency range from 2 Hz to 23.5 Hz, and a powerful neodymium magnetic system guarantees an impressive sound pressure of up to 112.5 dB with minimal distortion. At the same time, the nominal resistance of the new product is only 32 Ohms, and the sensitivity is 97.5 dB. Thus, the Adam H200 headphones will not be a problem for the amplifier.
The Adam H200 earcups are made of ABS plastic, more than two-thirds of which is recycled material. To ensure a high level of comfort even during prolonged use, both the headband and ear pads are softly padded, and the ear pads use memory foam. The outside of the headband and ear pads is trimmed with artificial leather.
The Adam H200 headphones come with a three-meter detachable cable ending in a 3.5 mm mini-jack plug. The headphones are connected to the earcups via standard 2.5 mm connectors. The kit includes an adapter for a 6.3 mm jack plug and a case for storing and transporting the headphones.
The manufacturer offers the Adam H200 headphones a special Adam Audio Headphone Utiliry Plug In plug-in, which can be used for optimal integration with common DAWs – digital audio workstations. It was developed in cooperation with Sonnox.
The new Adam H200 closed-back studio headphones are scheduled to go on sale in November 2024. The recommended retail price for the new product is €159.99
