Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Sells 1 Million Copies

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that the Japanese RPG Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide. This figure has continued to grow since 2019, when the project first hit store shelves.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has not updated sales since February 2019, when it reached its first significant sales point of 500,000 copies. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition scored the remaining half a million in a year.

As a reminder, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is a re-release of the game that was released on the Xbox 360 in 2008 with a subsequent release on the PlayStation 3 in 2009. The Definitive Edition was released on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in January 2019. The edition includes not only visual improvements and increased frame rates, but also completely new additional content, as well as the character of Patty, which was previously only available on the PlayStation 3.

The game is set in a world that uses the energy source of blastia for all its needs. The protagonist of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is Yuri Lowell, a former soldier of the Empire who creates a guild called Brave Vesperia to help the noble woman Estelle. Together they explore the world and fight blastia abuse.
