THE NEW BUILD OF WINDOWS 11 PRO LIVE11 CAN BE RUN DIRECTLY FROM RAM

Recently, the developers from NTDEV presented a minimalist assembly of the Windows 11 Pro operating system, which was called Live11. Its peculiarity is that the system can be written to a USB drive and run without installation into the internal memory of a personal computer or laptop.

Live USB technology is well known to users of the Linux operating system. But in the case of Windows, such builds are very rare. To work, you need 4 GB of RAM disk – this is a virtual disk created in RAM. They will need another 2 GB of RAM, which the OS will operate to work.

Such a system can be run even on incompatible PCs, but it has rather limited functionality.

Like all builds, Live11 has its pros and cons. A plus is compatibility with almost any device, since the system does not check for TPM 2.0. However, users of such a product will not be able to download and install any applications. Build 22621.1555 will only offer Notepad, Paint, Scissors, and Terminal. There is not even a built-in Internet browser.

It is not known why such a system is needed. Perhaps for quick work with documents. You can download it on this page . It is not known how Microsoft relates to such experiments.
