Samsung makes it easy for you to store information about credit and discount cards, payment methods, digital keys and other personal data on your mobile device. The South Korean giant announced the merger of Pay and Pass services into a single platform called Samsung Wallet. Now there is no need to use two different applications to manage your digital identity.

Samsung Wallet is first and foremost a digital wallet that provides a convenient, secure and reliable way to store your data. The company claims that users can use it to store digital car keys for brands such as BMW, Genesis, Hyundai and Kia, as well as airline boarding passes. In addition, there is support for monitoring cryptocurrencies that users have on various exchanges, and by the end of the year, the company promises to add a driver’s license, student ID and other documents to Wallet.

To protect sensitive information, Samsung Wallet uses data encryption and Samsung Knox proprietary security solution. Combined with biometric authentication, this ensures that only the user has access to personal data.

Samsung Wallet is already available on devices running Android 9 and above in the US, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. Later, the service will appear in other countries and on more smartphones. If the Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass apps are installed on the device, users will be prompted to upgrade to the new software.
