Roland Go-Mixer Pro X: Pocket-size Mixer for phones and tablets

The Roland Go-Mixer Pro X mini-mixer is a pocket  sized portable device for organizing recording sessions. The creators of this device decided to take care of those who record music through smartphones and tablets.

Any modern Android or iOS phone can be connected to the mixer. The Go-Mixer Pro X even has a dedicated slot stand for smartphones / tablets. Despite the fact that the device is sharpened for smartphones, it can also be used with a laptop or computer by connecting via USB.

There are enough connectors on board the mini-mixer to hold an almost complete session: XLR for microphone (with phantom power), guitar / bass jack, two line inputs, an additional 1/4 ” jack for any musical instrument, 3.5 mm jack, working in modes input and output (through it you can broadcast, for example, back tracks). Among other things, headphones can be connected to the mixer. There is also a Loop Back function.

From the point of view of control, the Go-Mixer Pro X has a simple structure: all the level controls have been moved to the main top panel. There are several additional switches on the side faces. You need to manage the recording through the software used.

It is worth noting that the Roland Go-Mixer Pro X is powered by both AAA batteries (up to 4.5 hours) and USB. The mini-mixer weighed 200 g.

In the US, the Go-Mixer Pro X costs about $ 150.
