TCL has recently introduced an affordable TV called Thunderbird Sparrow 5 SE. This new TV comes with a 43-inch panel and is priced at only 889 yuan (~$125).
The TV boasts a VA panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. It’s worth mentioning that it supports HDR10 technology and has received certification from TUV Rheinland, ensuring the protection of users’ eyes from harmful blue light.

Under the hood, the TV is powered by a processor with four cores ARM Cortex-A53. It is accompanied by 1 GB of RAM (which might not be much) and 8 GB of internal memory dedicated to user data. The cherry on top is the Android 13 operating system, which reportedly boots up in just 2 seconds.
In terms of connectivity, the TV offers two HDMI 2.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port. Additionally, it comes with a Wi-Fi wireless module operating on the 2.4 GHz band.
