Mi TV EA 2022: The most affordable TV yet from Xiaomi

Xiaomi has announced the appearance on sale of the Mi TV Series EA 2022 series of TVs , which includes seven models with different screen sizes. A distinctive feature of new products, according to the manufacturer, is the combination of exquisite design, usually inherent in premium technology, and an affordable price.

The TVs of the new series are equipped with LED-backlit LCD panels that support a 60 Hz frame refresh rate and are characterized by viewing angles of 178 degrees. At the same time, depending on the size of the screen, the resolution of the panels may be different. For example, the smallest model Mi TV EA32 2022 is equipped with a 32-inch panel with HD Ready resolution (1366 × 768 pixels). TVs with screens 40 and 43 inches have Full HD resolution (1,920 × 1,080 pixels), while devices with screens of 50, 55, 65 and 75 inches sport a 4K resolution (3,840 × 2,160 pixels).

Depending on the size of the screen, the hardware platform of the TVs also differs. The 32 “, 40” and 43 “models are based on a 64-bit Amlogic processor , with two ARM Cortex-A53 cores and a Mali-450 MP2 graphics subsystem . These TVs have 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of permanent memory on board. Older models with a screen resolution of 4K are equipped with a quad-core 64-bit Amlogic processor with ARM Cortext-A35 cores and a Mali-G31 MP2 graphics subsystem . The RAM is already 1.5 GB, and the storage volume has not changed – 8 GB.

The switching arsenal of new products is the same for all models: two HDMI ports , a USB-A port for connecting external USB drives, as well as a component analog input, an Ethernet RJ45 port and an optical digital output. There is also a built-in adapter for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless networks .

The screens of the new products are framed with metal, and the included remote controls support Bluetooth and voice input.

In China, Xiaomi Mi TV Series EA 2022 TVs are offered at the following prices (in dollar terms):

32 “- $ 153

43 “- $ 229
