Loewe, a luxury TV manufacturer, is not following Bang&Olufsen’s lead in completely moving away from LCD technology. Instead, they are keeping the small-screen We.See series LCD models and the Bild C series in their lineup. However, Loewe is gearing up to transition to OLED for larger screen sizes under its We sub-brand, which debuted in 2021. The upcoming 48-, 55-, and 65-inch We.See TVs will come equipped with WOLED panels from LG Display.
In addition, the new We . The See will feature two HDMI 2.1 ports with support for 4K/120Hz video, VRR and ALLM for gaming consoles. Support for extended dynamic range is announced in HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision formats, as well as Dolby Atmos and Apple AirPlay 2.
Unlike Loewe’s new Stellar TVs, which use Samsung’s Tizen operating system, We.See models will run Hisense’s Vidaa. Vidaa lacks many local apps, so it would be a good idea to use Chromecast Google TV or Apple TV 4K with these TVs.
Loewe’s new OLED TVs are set to hit the European market in June. The prices will start at €1,700 for the 48-inch model, €2,000 for the 55-inch model, and €2,700 for the 65-inch model. Rather than going head-to-head with high-end brands like Bang & Olufsen, these TVs will be competing with more mainstream OLED TVs from LG, Panasonic, Philips, and Sony.
