The Chinese company Hisense has introduced a new TV E8K TV, which will be available in versions with a diagonal of 85 and 100 inches. The TV has a ULED X panel with Mini-LED backlighting, which provides support for 4K resolution at a screen refresh rate of 144 Hz.
The larger 100E8K model has 1620 Mini-LED backlight zones, while the 85E8K version has 1296 Mini-LED zones, each providing up to 1600 cd/m² brightness and high contrast levels. According to available data, the panel used provides coverage of the DCI-P3 color space at the level of 99%. The design includes an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness control.
The developers have implemented support for Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced technologies in the new TV. The E8K TV supports Dynamic Refresh Rate (VRR) technology and Auto Low-Latency Mode, which, combined with HDMI 2.1 interfaces, makes the new product more attractive to gamers. Sound output is provided by a 77 W 2.1.2 format speaker system that supports Dolby Atmos and DTS technologies. You can use voice commands to interact with the TV.
As for the price of the new Hisense TV, it is currently available for pre-order in China. The 85-inch version costs about $1893, while the 100-inch model costs about $3349. After the start of retail sales next month, the cost of each of the presented models will increase. It is currently unknown if Hisense plans to release E8K TVs outside of the home market.
