Opera releases cryptobrowser for iPhone and iPad

Opera has announced the release of its “cryptobrowser” for iPhone and iPad. Previously, it became available on computers running Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as on Android devices.

Crypto Browser is already available for download from the App Store. According to the developers, the application is equally suitable for both beginners who have never worked with cryptocurrencies before, and experienced users.

The browser is equipped with a news and data aggregator called Crypto Corner with information about cryptocurrencies, including the latest developments in this area, prices of cryptoassets and commissions.

Crypto Browser has a built-in non-custodial (personal) multi-currency wallet. There is an exchanger of fiat currency for cryptocurrency. Even in the browser, users can get quick access to NFT directories and various decentralized services in the Polygon network.

Opera also stated that it has paid a lot of attention to Layer 2 solutions, which are designed to ease network loads before Ethereum’s transition to Proof-of-Stake, which, by the way, was recently postponed again.

In total, there is support for eight major blockchain ecosystems – Bitcoin, Solana, Polygon, StarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervos Network and IXO. Opera notes that they plan to integrate more PoS chains in the future.

The browser is also equipped with built-in security features: blocking tracking, pop-ups, ads, as well as protection against unauthorized cryptocurrency mining and blocking cryptojacking scripts.
