Clubhouse is now available online and without registration, but it’s too late

Clubhouse is now available online and without registration

In 2020, the social network Clubhouse, based on communication in voice rooms, enjoyed unheard of popularity on the network – users were attracted by the new content format, the exclusivity of live broadcasts from famous personalities and access by invitation.

At the moment, the platform has lost its popularity and the developers, apparently, decided to return users with new functions – one of them allows you to listen to content in rooms in the web version, which is already being tested with users in the United States. Now, in order to listen to the speaker in the room, you do not need to download the application or even register – you can simply open the room in a browser and listen to the broadcast.

Actually, for this, the developers of the social network had to implement another long-awaited function – now users who have already registered in the Clubhouse can share a link to the room with other people. To do this, you can create a link for those who already have a Clubhouse (then you can leave a description for the room in the message), or to send a link to broadcast on social networks and instant messengers.

A user who receives such a link can join the broadcasting room through a browser, but he will only have the opportunity to listen to the content – they are not allowed to speak without registration.

Moreover, if the content is available depending on, then this conversation can also be listened to through the browser, which is really convenient in certain conditions. Probably, due to this, the Clubhouse developers are trying to return the social network to its former popularity, because competitors like Twitter Spaces are actively gaining an audience, providing free access to everyone.

But, probably, the train has already left – the main advantages of the platform, due to which it was so rapidly gaining an audience of fans, have long since evaporated.
