Apple introduced three M3 processors at once: More powerful and are produced using the 3 nm process technology

Today, October 31, Apple, as predicted by insiders, officially introduced a new line of M3 processors, which currently consists of three models – the basic M3, as well as M3 Pro and M3 Max. The main advantage of the new chips is that they are manufactured on a 3 nanometer process (like the A17 Pro for the iPhone 15 Pro), so in theory they will deliver higher performance in the same physical size and with lower power consumption.

In addition, Apple engineers usually released the basic model first, and a few months later they released more powerful Pro and Max solutions, but now the Cupertino company has decided to introduce the entire line at once.

In the base model of the M3 processor, which boasts 25 billion transistors, the company uses 8 CPU cores, up to 10 graphics cores and up to 24 GB of RAM (the chip simply does not support more). The M3 Pro processor with 37 billion transistors has already received 12 CPU cores, 18 graphics cores and supports up to 36 GB of RAM.

The most powerful processor is the M3 Max, which, with 92 billion transistors, provides 16 CPU cores, 40 graphics subsystem cores and up to 128 GB of RAM. The new processors also support advanced Dynamic Caching technology, support hardware ray tracing, a new graphics subsystem architecture, and much more.
