TCL C935U & P733W: Flagship Dolby Atmos Soundbars unveiled

TCL Unveils Flagship Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 Soundbar

As part of its second generation of  Dolby Atmos soundbars, TCL  is releasing its flagship 5.1.2 configuration C935U  , which delivers an “extremely wide soundstage,” the manufacturer claims. The soundbar is completed with a wireless subwoofer, and its highlight are three speakers directed upwards.

The main feature of the flagship is the use of its own  TCL  technology –  Ray-Danz . It is about taking an authentic, acoustic approach to creating a quality soundstage. Today’s market is flooded with devices with digital algorithms that offer consumers not real, but virtual surround sound, say  TCL. Therefore, the developers of this technology focused on improving the acoustic design of the soundbar, and not on computer processing of the audio signal. Their solution was the special positioning of the speakers and the use of reflectors that form “beams” of sound waves emanating from the device at different angles. The result is a more realistic, lively sound as opposed to the “cold and harsh” digital sound,  TCL says .

In addition to the flagship, the Chinese also announced the release of two more affordable soundbar models –  P733W  3.1 configuration and  S522W  2.1 configuration .

By the way, C935U  and  P733W received  the prestigious  Red Dot 2022 award for “unique design and innovative acoustic reflex technology.”

Pricing and sales start dates have yet to be announced.
