Stratton Acoustics Elypsis 1512: Classic speakers in a new way

Stratton Acoustics has released the Elypsis1512 speaker systems , built according to the classic recipes of JBL and Urei at the modern technical level.

Impressive three-way speakers have an internal volume of 230 liters and phase-inverted acoustic design. The driver package includes two 15″ paper cone woofers, a 12″ paper midrange driver and a 29mm soft dome tweeter loaded on a machined aluminum waveguide.

The magnetic systems in the high-frequency and mid-frequency radiators are made of neodymium-iron-boron alloy. The phase inverter in the system is set to 34 Hz , the group delay above 40 Hz does not exceed 12 ms.

Crossover frequencies are set to 350 Hz and 2500 Hz , second and third order filters are applied. There are attenuators on the front panel that allow you to change the output at medium and high frequencies within 2 dB. The overall system sensitivity is 96dB (2.8V/1m) into 8 ohm impedance from 100 to 10,000 Hz.

The speaker cabinets are made of multilayer birch plywood and covered with natural wood veneer, the front panel has a thickness of 46 mm and is additionally reinforced with an acrylic overlay. The weight of one speaker system Stratton Acoustics Elypsis1512 is 140 kg with dimensions of 876 x 1001 x 515 mm .
