Q Acoustics has released the M20 active stereo speakers. The design of the speakers is immediately associated with Q Acoustics – rounded corners and thin contours. The cabinets received a proprietary internal P2PTM (Point to Point) fixing. The bass reflex ports are brought back, the fabric grills, rounded at the edges, completely cover the front panels.
Q Acoustics M20 is made according to the classic master-slave principle, when all the electronics are concentrated in one of the speakers. This is an amplifier that delivers 65 W per channel, and a DSP module with the ability to correct sound depending on the location of the speakers: in the corner, against the wall or freely. A 22 mm tweeter and a 125 mm woofer are responsible for the sound in each speaker.
The audio signal of the Q Acoustics M20 is received via Bluetooth 5.0. Support for the aptX HD codec is declared, that is, digital audio is transmitted with a resolution of up to 24 bit / 48 kHz – of course, from a compatible device. The built-in DAC will allow the M20 to work with a computer via USB – in this case, the signal parameters can increase up to 24 bit / 192 kHz.
Alternatively, the M20 can use optical or coaxial digital inputs. An analog RCA input is also provided on the rear of the M20 master speaker. There you can also find an exit to the subwoofer. Instead of a spring-loaded connector, Q Acoustics supplied full-length speaker cable terminals to the M20.
