Canadian company Kanto Audio has supplemented its selection of bookshelf speakers with small models YU Passive 5.25 and YU Passive 4. The numbers in the names indicate the diameter of the woofer in inches – both models are quite suitable in size, including the role of computer speakers.
At the same time, the low-frequency drivers for both models received Kevlar diffusers with rubber suspensions. The tweeter is the same for both new products – a classic dome version with a silk diaphragm.
YU Passive 5.25 and YU Passive 4 received acoustic MDF enclosures with aerodynamic bass reflex ports on the rear wall. The speaker cable terminals are recessed into the housing.
Each of the two models is finished in black or white vinyl. The speakers can be supplemented with floor or table stands, for connection with which a thread is provided (and there are many stands in the Kanto Audio catalog).
In the US, the YU Passive 5.25 is $ 200 and the YU Passive 4 is $ 160.
