Fyne Audio Vintage Fifteen: 15-inch coax with a sensitivity of 97 dB

Fyne Audio Vintage Fifteen
Fyne Audio Vintage Fifteen

The Fyne Audio Vintage Fifteen is the flagship model of the Vintage series, based on the ideas and concepts of Fyne Audio technical leader Dr Paul Mills. These speakers are equipped with the largest Fyne Audio IsoFlare driver in existence. The driver is a coaxial combination of a 380mm (15″) fiber cone mid/bass driver and a 75mm neodymium titanium tweeter.

The emitters are controlled by a branded second-order crossover, which has undergone special cryogenic processing by deep freezing. The large speaker cabinet houses a downward-firing BassTrax Tractrix bass reflex system with birch plywood ports.

The manufacturer recommends for Vintage Fifteen an amplifier with a power of 20 to 400 W (peak – up to 800 W) with an impedance of 8 ohms. And it is worth considering that the sensitivity of the speakers is 97 dB (at standard 2.83 V per 1 m) – this acoustics will work well with both powerful semiconductor and tube amplifiers.

The Vintage Fifteen cabinet is finished in premium walnut veneer with solid walnut inlays. The wooden surface is oiled. The design of the cabinet is complemented by metal elements.

The European price of a pair of Fyne Audio Vintage Fifteen two-way coaxial floorstanders was 35,000 euros.
