Definite Technology Studio 3D Mini Compact Soundbar 2021

Most soundbars with a thin profile take up at least one meter of space on a TV stand. Chances are, you won’t be able to find a speaker system that takes up less space, as the smaller form factor simply doesn’t have enough room to install all the drivers needed to reproduce high-tech surround sound.

Fortunately, the Definite Technology Studio 3D Mini soundbar is coming to the market this month, combining a compact, ergonomic design with high audio performance.

Let’s start with the design: the ultra-slim body measures just 67.5 x 5 x 11.5 centimeters (width x height x depth) and hides a soundbar with impressively powerful sound for such a compact format. With 3D Mini, you have the ability to create a soundstage that meets all the requirements of a large screen home theater system. Whether you are looking to free up extra cabinet space or simply don’t share a love for large-scale speakers, this soundbar should be a good compromise for you without compromising on sound quality.

The 3D Mini delivers this expansive audio experience by integrating a 4.1 channel surround sound system. This system uses six speakers, namely four woofers (height: 2.5 cm, width: 7.6 cm) and two 2.5 cm aluminum dome tweeters.

The Definitive Technology Studio speaker system also includes a separate wireless subwoofer that you can place near the TV, so you get authentic and colorful sound of special effects (such as gunshots, roar of motors) by amplifying the low frequency response.

This speaker boasts lossless, lag-free signal processing (for all six drivers), ensuring that you can appreciate every note of the musical score, every sharp explosion and every line that accompanies the story on the screen.

It also supports sync with Dolby Atmos and DTS: X (HDMI (eARC)) video, which delivers more dynamic and massive sound for a more immersive experience while watching your favorite movies. Basically, 3D Mini is one of the soundbars that, for their small size, can reproduce the powerful sound you are used to hearing in local cinemas. In modern realities, this is very useful – to get a compact home theater without leaving home.

The Definitive Technology Studio 3D Mini comes with Apple AirPlay 2 support, so iOS and macOS users can play any audio from their phone right on the soundbar. There’s also support for Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, and Google Assistant voice assistants, allowing you to use voice commands to control playback with any assistant of your choice.

Highlight: This is the first Soundbar from Definitive Technology to support HEOS Built-in, a multi-room system currently used by many Denon and Marantz components , so you can integrate it with any of the two brands’ speakers. There are currently about 70 products that are compatible with this multi-room audio protocol, so you have a wide selection of speakers. Other technical features include compatibility with any Roku remote, easy setup via a companion app, and the ability to integrate with many smart home systems such as Control4 , Crestron , URC , Elan and more.

The 3D Mini Soundbar, like many other soundbars, can connect to both modern and legacy sources using 4K HDMI input, 4K HDMI output with eARC, Toslink optical input, analog input (3.5mm mini jack) and even a USB port for high-definition music playback from your Hi-Res audio collection.
