The Danish company DALI Loudspeakers presented the Oberon Grand Vokal full-range center channel speaker, the CI AMP-2500 installation amplifier and the SUB S-100 passive built-in subwoofer from the Phantom series .
The DALI Phantom SUB S-100 is a low profile in-wall subwoofer equipped with a 10″ driver. According to the manufacturer, the best partner for the Phantom SUB S-100 will be the new installation amplifier Phantom CI AMP-2500 DSP . However, it can be successfully used with any other acoustic systems.
The 2 x 500W Phantom CI AMP-2500 DSP Rack Mounted Class D Amplifier features extremely high efficiency and low distortion. The device can be switched to bridge mode, providing an output power of 1 kW. This, according to DALI, makes it an ideal partner for Phantom S and M series products, including the Phantom SUB S-100. Adaptive cooling fan control keeps noise to a minimum, while a full-featured DSP and web-based configurator provide presets for your specific DALI CI series built-in speakers.
The Phantom SUB S-100 is based on the same principles as the K-60 LP subwoofer, with an extremely rigid, custom-made aluminum cone that combines long travel with an ultra-flat profile. In addition, this speaker is the first to use CSS (Constant Surface Surround) technology, jointly developed with the Danish company Purifi Audio. This technology offers a unique surround sound concept with alternating positive and negative regions, minimizing surround modulation.
The 2-way DALI Oberon Grand Vokal center channel speaker measures 201 x 700 x 310 mm (H x W x D). The Oberon Grand Vokal is equipped with a pair of 7-inch SMC woofers and a 29mm ultra-light soft-dome tweeter operating from 2.5 kHz. All this promises to provide “crystal-clear dialogue, sound effects and music at any volume.” The declared frequency range of the novelty is 45 – 26,000 Hz ± 3 dB.
The DALI Oberon Grand Vokal center channel speaker is priced at €599 in Europe and is available in Dark Walnut and Black Ash finishes. The suggested retail price of the Phantom CI AMP-2500 DSP amplifier is 2,199 euros , while the Phantom SUB S-100 passive subwoofer will cost 1,499 euros .
