LG ProBeam

LG Electronics (LG) has unveiled its first digital signage projector, the LG ProBeam 4K UHD (BU70QGA). The model is suitable for use in a variety of environments, including art galleries, exhibition spaces, corporate lobbies, retail stores, showrooms, conference rooms, and classrooms. The new digital signage projector delivers crisp, impressively large images and boasts a peak brightness of 7,000 ANSI lumens, the highest among LG projectors to date.

The LG ProBeam projector produces 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution images with a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 when projecting from 40 to 300 inches. With a peak brightness of 7,000 lumens, the LG BU70QGA delivers crisp images even in bright daylight. In addition, the projector is equipped with a reliable laser light source, lens shift, 1.6x optical zoom, built-in wireless, and a built-in camera to assist with setup and positioning.

Proprietary edge blending technology seamlessly blends overlapping images from two or more projectors through brightness adjustment and color correction. With this advanced technology, up to nine LG BU70QGA projectors can be used together to create truly panoramic images and an immersive viewing experience. Museums and art galleries will appreciate the projector’s ability to create large, eye-catching panels.

LG ProBeam is a convenient and versatile system for displaying professional-quality video content, suitable for a variety of business environments. Using the BU70QGA1 auto screen adjustment function, users can quickly calibrate the image for the projection screen and correct image distortion with the touch of a button on the included remote control. When the projection angle does not match the screen, LG’s AI detection technology evaluates lens shift, zoom, focus, and geometric distortion, and then automatically adjusts the projected image for optimal viewing.

Using a high-performance SoC (System-on-Chip), the projector can multi-task, provide smooth content playback, and optimize user experience with an intuitive user interface and simple application development tools. The LG BU70QGA can also connect to LG ConnectedCare, LG’s cloud-based solution for managing digital signage devices and LG2 displays. Powered by webOS 6.0, the new LG ProBeam allows third-party vendors to add projection capabilities to their solutions, adding variety and value to LG’s vast digital signage ecosystem.
